The Nimbus Owners Club UK was founded in 1998.  By the end of the year there were 24 members - 23 boat owners, plus Chris Harridge, owner of Offshore Power Boats at Lymington, the UK importer of Nimbus Boats.

Two years later there were 126 boats and their owners in the Club.  In 2004 we had our own website.  The first Newsletter incorporated a forum for owners and included an events programme for 1999, with details of the inaugural May bank holiday Rally, held annually then as now at Lymington. 'Nimbus News',as it is now titled, is published three times a year.  Together with the extensive information contained on the Club website, it is a major reason for joining the Club.  The 2011 Spring edition was overhauled and featured a new full colour design.  Publication is now handled professionally. 

Also in 2011 the Club website underwent a major upgrade and migrated to a commercially hosted platform.  Nimbus News is available to read and download on the website. You will find write-ups of recent events, technical information, cruising articles and news of future events. 

Both Nimbus News and the website contain a considerable amount of technical help and support which owners will find nowhere else.

The Club celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2018 and has been consistently dynamic, organising 5-6 events each year.  The majority of the founders are still active members and over 50 Nimbus owners and their partners have joined the Club in the past two years.
