The Nimbus Owners Club UK came to fruition in 1998 and by the end of the year there were 24 members - 23 boat owners, plus Chris Harridge, owner of Offshore Power Boats at Lymington, the UK importer of Nimbus Boats.
The first News Letter incorporated a forum for owners, and the 'Nimbus News' as it is now titled, together with the extensive information contained on the club website is a major reason for joining the club. Both contain a considerable amount of technical help and support which owners will find nowhere else. Also in the first edition was an events programme for 1999, which included details of the inaugural May bank holiday rally, held then as now at Lymington - the home of Nimbus Boats in the UK.
Two years after its formation there were 126 boats and their owners in the club and in 2004 Nimbus Owners Club UK had its own website. In 2009 the Nimbus News, published three times a year, became a full colour publication. The 2011 spring edition was overhauled and featured a new design and publication is now being handled professionally. This was followed by a redesign of the website, with a completion date by the end of 2011.
